IT Support and Service Center Staff
Mid Sweden University is an educational institution where people meet, get inspired, and think innovatively.
We are located in Sundsvall and Östersund, offering a wide range of programs both on campus and online. Strong relationships with the outside world give our research and education a solid grounding in society and, not least, in the region.
The Campus Service and IT Support teams are tasked with providing Mid Sweden University’s employees, students, and external stakeholders with a unified, easily accessible, and needs-based service and support. The teams in Sundsvall and Östersund consist of about 25 staff members and handle areas such as telephone service, IT support, and service center.
We need to strengthen our pool of staff within IT support and the Service Center and are looking for someone who has studied at least two semesters at Mid Sweden University and has good knowledge of the university as well as experience as a student.
We are looking for someone who is good at collaborating, enjoys working independently, is organized, communicative, and ready to take on significant personal responsibility.
Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities will include:
- Answering general inquiries directed to Mid Sweden University across all channels
- Particular emphasis will be placed on providing information and guidance regarding study-related questions
- Telephone and switchboard service as well as tele-administration
- Production and distribution of access cards
- IT support
- Assistance with room bookings and event bookings
- Sales of products
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you need to have a strong sense of service and enjoy customer contact. Furthermore, you need to communicate well and understand that different individuals absorb information and knowledge in various ways. The work involves both independent tasks and teamwork. You also need to have good IT skills.
In your work, you will communicate in both Swedish and English. Therefore, good written and verbal skills in both languages are required.
To apply for the position, you need to have completed your secondary education. It is advantageous if you have post-secondary education in the field. We would prefer if you are a student at Mid Sweden University.

Employment and Start Date
This position is an intermittent employment (hourly employment). This means that you will belong to a staff pool and will be employed on each individual occasion and receive financial compensation per hour. The amount of work you will get as a service administrator is variable; you will be offered work when there is a need. This means that you will be offered occasional, short-term employment opportunities. Start date is according to agreement.
Work location: Östersund or Sundsvall
Salary: Hourly wage
